With its long stretch of golden sand, Ammoudara Beach has different areas to suit every visitor. There are a few great local eateries, sun loungers and water centres, and with calm shallow waters, it’s an ideal spot to take the kids. To find solitude and really take in the views, simply wander towards Heraklion and you’ll find a quieter stretch.
